10 Affordable Floating Shelves to Declutter Your Home
Floating shelves are one of the easiest and most affordable ways to add organization and storage to your home. They don’t need the space that your other furniture uses–you can just put them over your other furniture! Also, they’re much easier to install than you might think.
In this article, we’re going to focus on affordable floating shelf solutions that can help you to declutter and organize many different rooms in your home. Shelves are a really important tool in a decluttering project, since they let you use space in your home–walls–that would otherwise be wasted. Yes, you can use walls for decoration, but you can include decorative items on your shelves too!
We would like to note that there are some relevant, useful solutions that we suggest in our 10 Affordable Solutions to Declutter Using Wasted Space. Certainly not all of our suggestions there are shelves, though some are. The problem we’re hoping to address there is probably relevant to you, if you’re interested in floating shelves! We think you should definitely check them out after looking through the floating shelving solutions on this page.
For the first 8 solutions we’re going to set ourselves a maximum budget of $50 for any given item; for the last two we’re going to give ourselves a slightly larger $100 budget. We’re also going to restrict the solutions to those with free shipping. Please note that we may receive a commission for purchases made through links on this site.

Love-KANKEI Floating Shelves
These elegant, rustic-looking floating shelves come in a set of 3. They come in three sizes: Large: 17×4.7×4.2 inches, Medium: 13×4.7×4.2 inches, Small: 9×4.7×4.2 inches. And they each hold a useful 40 lbs! The black and brown look is very trendy, and these will easily match a really wide variety of other furniture and decor.
Greenco 5 Tier Wall Mount Corner Shelves
We have suggested this sort of corner floating shelf in several of other suggestion articles, including our 10 Affordable and Creative Solutions to Declutter Your Books, 10 Very Affordable Solutions to Declutter Your Stuff, and 10 Affordable Solutions to Declutter Using Wasted Space. There’s a good reason for that! Corners are almost always useless space, but they don’t have to be that way. This sort of shelving looks great, but it really lets you make use of space that would otherwise go unused. Sized at 7.75″ L x 7.75″ W x 48.5″ H, they’ll comfortably fit into any corner. They also come in quite a few other finishes.
SODUKU Floating Shelves
Any place that has a hanging cloth will instantly look better and be more functional with these cute shelves installed! Bathrooms, kitchens, even laundries–we’ve been tempted to load them up everywhere! Having the hanging rack really does help with decluttering. They’re 16.53 X 5.83 inches, which is wide and deep enough to hold many things you’d need a more functional shelf to hold. There are several different finishes, which you really should check out! They have a couple of interesting ones (in a good way).
InPlace Shelving Slimline Floating Wall Shelf
This is the only shelf we’re suggesting that doesn’t come with several shelves in the package. It is larger than the rest, though, at 60″ W x 7.75″ D x 1.25″ H. The downside of this shelf is that it only holds 12 lbs–a fact that’s due to its neat hidden metal brackets–making it less functional than some of the other shelves. But seeing a shelf just poking out the wall is like magic, and we love that! It comes in several different sizes and finishes, so you will be able to find one suitable for any room in your home.
SRIWATANA Floating Shelves
The reason that we like these floating shelves so much is that they can be installed either facing up or facing down. This gives you a real versatility in looks while also possibly helping with organizing a decluttering a wider variety of items than most shelves. The three shelves are each different sizes: Large: 16.7 x 4.7 x 3.9 inches, Medium: 14 x 4.7 x 3.4 inches, Small: 9.6 x 4.7 x 2.8 inches. Whether you’re storing books, plants, or something more practical, these will probably look good. They come in several difference choices of finish.
Giftgarden Rustic Large Floating Shelves
These gorgeous shelves will make many different room decors look just that little bit more homey. Note that while it’s tough to tell from the image, these shelves come with three shelves of the same width, but different depth. Large: 24”x5.5”x2.7”; Medium: 24”x4.7”x2.3”; Small: 24”x3.9”x2”. When configured together they do a great job of adding some texture to your walls.
Wallniture Ponza Wood Floating Shelves
These shelves are individually not huge at 17 inches x 4.5 inches, but when you arrange all five together they really provide a ton of space! Make sure to check out some of the configurations they suggest in the Amazon listing images. In a bathroom, laundry, or even as a spice rack in a kitchen, these floating shelves are a perfect example of style and function! Though these only come in one color scheme, the black and brown is certainly trendy!
Greenco Decorative 4 Cube Intersecting Floating Shelves
Also trendy right now, these intersecting cubes floating shelves may not fit in every room, but when they do: they’re super cute! Their size is 25.5″ H x 17.75″ W x 4″ D, making them better for decorative items or smaller functional items. As much as we focus on organization and clutter, we know that that’s an important shelving use as well! They come in quite a few different finishes, so make sure to check those out to see whether any would fit your space.
2 Slightly Less Affordable Floating Shelf Solutions to Declutter Your Home (Under $100)
For this section we’ve chosen two items that, while more expensive than those above, still meet the brief of being affordable and having free shipping. Floating shelves tend to be on the affordable side, as with the 8 suggestions above. But the wood in those units isn’t the sort of wood you get from a carpenter–when you go up in price, it’s quality that you’re paying for.
Willow & Grace Long Floating Wall Shelves
While the more affordable units are incredibly inexpensive, that actually comes with a cost in the materials used. In some situations and settings it’s best to have a more premium set of shelving, and that’s what we’re stepping up to. Made from pine and stained in one of several different finishes (see the site for images), these will feel as good as they look! They are sized at 36″ W x 6″ D x 1.5″ H, and hold up to 40 lbs. The hidden brackets really nail the look!
BAOBAB WORKSHOP Wood Floating Shelves
A bit less wide and a bit deeper than the previous shelves at 24″ W x 6.7″ D, this natural wood look and feel will suit most rooms. And like the previous shelves, these have hidden brackets that keep the focus on the wood. Bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms are perfect spots for this sort of shelf.
We’ve suggested 10 affordable floating shelf solutions. We gave ourselves a max of $50 for the first 8 items and $100 for the last two. Floating shelving is a really affordable solution, which makes it an easy suggestion for us to make! Decluttering and organizing, like it or not, need storage. And using wasted space like your walls goes a surprisingly long way to getting things off your floors! We really hope that you have been able to find value in some of our suggestions.
